After an initial search on shirtmakers with minimal requirements such as monogramming, shipping to Denmark etc. I found three. In general they all provide excellent service but when it comes to quality – taste of colour and design is your choice – this is the conclusion:
Tailored Shirts are of ok quality (difficult to iron) and I found the collars not being the same pictured on their site. After returning the shirts they sent me the same shirts back sewn differently. Good service but even then the collars seem to bend after a few hours of wearing (in spite of stiffeners). Also, if you want 100% customization this is the place but do yourself a favour, buy 1 test shirt for a start.
T.M.LEWIN shirts has very nice design but no monogramming! The Poplin 100 shirts are easy to iron but stay away from the shirts which have two contrasting yarns weaved together (end-on-end weaving) – impossible to iron with a good result. Note, stiffeners are made out of metal.
Charles Tyrwhitt (pronounced ‘territ’) has a very nice service as the two others… even though an order did not arrive, which is not their mistake, they just made a refund. Bought some shoes which I returned due to wrong sizing but got the right ones after a second go.
Brooks Brother is my latest favorite (feb. 2009). Got acquainted first time with the store from when my father worked in Chicago and lately again when travelling to London on a business trip. Unfortunately the shipment costs are bigger than the ones above but the quality (and price) is just better. Custom fit possible as well.
I hope I’ve made the choice easier.
